This Ford Gran Torino came to Next Level for a new upgraded stereo and window tint.
It seems Ford Gran Torinos have star quality. A beautiful 72 even had the title role in a major motion picture. But before Clint Eastwoods Gran Torino, there was Starsky & Hutch; starring what has arguably become one of the most recognized cars in America. Ford built a limited run of 1000 special edition Gran Torinos in the spring of 1976, of which about 300 are still known to exist.
We custom fabricated a trunk subwoofer box, door speaker grills and made them look like it was from factory in the 1970s. We installed a Pioneer radio in the dash and used MMats Pro Audio for the door speakers, the rear deck speakers and the trunk subwoofer.

Our client came in with their Lexus 460 used for show purposes and wanted to do a full system to rock out the competition at the car shows. We started with the Highs and swapped all the factory speakers for Mmats Pro Audio components Powered by Mmats Hifi-series amplifiers to keep a factory look on the doors and pillars but give optimal Sound. In the trunk we did two Mmats Monster 12 in a custom ported box with the amplifiers and sub window Trimmed out with RGB LED lights. A client came to us with a 1971 Mustang Mach 1 looking to get a custom sound system installed. We decided to put a MMats Pro Audio system in with Custom kick panels for two 6.5″ speakers in the front and two 6×9″ speakers mounted in the back deck. Our client came to us and wanted to so a full system in his 2009 Honda Accord. We started with the head unit, our client wanted a head unit capable of of processing audiophiles and we that with the Pioneer 80prs single din head unit. In the doors we simply upgraded his factory speakers to Mmats 6.5 components and powered them with a Hifi 6150 Amplifier. In the Trunk we did a ported box with 2 Mmats Procast 10’s and a trim panel to make it look like there is nothing there. Our Client wanted the loudest and cleanest sounding audio in his 2014 Honda Accord and wanted his trunk completely built and trimmed out to showcase his Airrex air ride system. The loudest and clean sounding part isn’t hard at all but our client didn’t want jumbled mess of speakers or non factory appearing doors. We added a pod to the doors with a three way component set and wrapped it all in vinyl to give the sound quality and we utilized the factory door pocket to make it appear factory. In addition to maintain the factory appearance we ported the rear deck, wrapped it in vinyl and speaker cloth and added another component set. The Trunk was the only thing are client wanted to be the show piece and we did that while keeping it clean. We put a single ported Monster 12 installed in a custom ported spare tire box and trimmed it out in black vinyl as well. All this is powered by 3 Mmats Amplifiers with a Pioneer 8100 NEX head unit. We Also showcased the extra optima battery and added a component set to the truck lid.
